Mal de Débarquement Syndrome Treatment
Mal de débarqement syndrome (MdDS) is a neurological disorder characterized by a persistent sensation of motion, such as rocking, swaying, or bobbing, often following travel by boat, plane, or other form of transportation. Unlike typical motion sickness MdDS can last for weeks, months or even years after the initial travel. The exact cause of MdDS is not well understood but it is believed to related to the brain’s adaptation to the motion and its subsequent difficulty readjusting to a stable environment (i.e. a visual-vestibular mismatch).
Several patients diagnosed with MdDS have reported a significant reduction of their visual-vertigo symptoms after treatment with Dr. Loopeker’s OpticNeuro Lens Therapy.
