Vestibular Migraine Treatment
Vestibular migraines are a type of migraine headache associated with vestibular symptoms, such as vertigo (i.e. sensation of spinning or movement), dizziness, unsteadiness, or loss of balance. They are also often accompanied by other symptoms, such as nausea, sensitivity to light and sound, and visual disturbances (e.g. aura).
Vestibular migraines and headache are commonly diagnosed in patients experiencing a sensory visual-vestibular mismatch. Visual-vestibular mismatch can be effectively treated with Optometric Vision Rehabilitation Therapy.
